If I wanted to remove freedom of speech and the right to bear arms, I think I'd start, by creating chaos, that used speech and protest, to call for violence against a certain group. ...( a group that has normally been supported by us), and then that group, would become so demonized, it'd create a backlash so severe, Leadership, would significantly limit our rights, using said chaos as an ignition point.
The violence and chaos would become so prevalent, that it would cause others to call for a ban on the most protected rights, that is, speech or certain speech, as well as the ability to protect one's self with weapons.
