I've made it pretty clear I'm not a huge supporter of Israel, especially in the sense of the political right being constantly dragged into Middle Eastern conflict over Israel, but I would like to point out that if every time someone called for a Gazan ceasefire, someone said "just as soon as they release their hostages" would put a succinct and fine point on that issue.

I do want a ceasefire. I do. I don't want to be involved. I don't want a ton of Arabs imported here from Gaza. But I also don't want to see a return to constant Middle Eastern kidnappings and terror demands.

There is no more sense in us pressuring Israel into a Ceasefire while the hostages are still being held than there is us providing billions of dollars to a 1st World country who is more than capable of defending itself.

The left is succeeding in forcing us to focus on something we don't need to focus on right now.
